The proctoscope is a particularly useful diagnostic device in cases of internal hemorrhoids, stretch marks, fistulas, inflammation of the anus and neoplasms of the anus. It consists of the head where disposable plastic tubes are attached (anoscopes, rectoscopes & sigmoidoscopes) as well as the light source.

The light source is built into the handle where the rectoscope head is attached and is either a halogen bulb or carries light from a cold light source through an optical fiber.

The Heine range of rectoscopy tools consists of multiple or disposable rectoscopes with a 6V bulb holder or a Fiber Optic source.

Disposable tubes eliminate the possibility of contamination as well as cleaning time. Translucent tube through annular illumination provides homogeneous, reflection-free light, 5 times brighter than other disposable tubes. It has a Quick Connect System as well as a graduation in centimeters for a clear indication of the insertion length.
