Pressure ulcers, also commonly referred to as bedsores or bedsores, are injuries to the skin and underlying tissue that occur due to prolonged and constant pressure applied to any part of the skin.
This constant pressure prevents normal blood circulation, leading to an insufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells, causing them to disappear and consequently the skin to break down.
These sores are not only painful but, if left untreated, can lead to serious complications.
