How TENS work?

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) send low-voltage electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate nerves in the affected area. These electrical signals are thought to disrupt pain signals traveling to the brain, helping to reduce pain perception. The stimulation promotes the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, further relieving discomfort. TENS is commonly used for chronic pain, muscle soreness, or nerve-related issues.

But, the device on itself is not enough. TENS consumables play a significant and active role. The electrode pads adhere to your skin and conduct the electrical impulses from the device to your nerves.

Over time, is very common that these pads lose their adhesive quality and become less effective, which is why they need to be replaced regularly. The lead wires connect the TENS unit to the pads, and these, along with the device’s batteries, wear down with use. Keeping fresh consumables ensures that your TENS unit works safely and effectively every time you use it.
