Babinski Telescoping Medical Reflex Hammer
Neurological reflex hammers with steel or stainless steel handles, available in various colors
MDF® reinvented the original Babinski hammer by adding a patented Spring Locking System (SLS) to securely lock the articulating head in place during use. MDF® also added a sturdy telescopic handle that is wider and thicker to withstand the force of repeated impact. This patented and newly designed hammer allows the professional to examine with greater accuracy and less effort while providing increased comfort for the patient. The Babinski Telescoping 2.0® neurological hammer is meticulously handcrafted with attention to detail and extreme quality standards.
Articulating Head
The articulating head of the Babinski hammer is covered by a chrome-plated brass disc with grooves to house the silicone disc and is weighted for more controlled impact. It can be used in both vertical and parallel positions to the axis. This flexibility provides greater efficiency in eliciting myotatic reflexes involving the ankle, knee, abdomen, forearm, biceps, and triceps.
Sturdy Handle - Balanced Weight
The sturdy telescopic handle offers comfort and additional functionality.
Spring Locking System
MDF® reinvented the original Babinski hammer by adding a patented Spring Locking System (SLS) to securely lock the articulating head in place during use. Instead of needing to unscrew the head, simply slide down the metal sleeve and turn the head. The sleeve will lock back into place.
Integrated Brush
The integrated brush at the base of the handle can be easily removed to elicit cutaneous reflexes with a light touch. The metal sleeve slides up and down to change the stiffness of the brush.
