Patches made out of foamy material with a hydrogel layer that contacts the wound, and an outer polyurethane layer that is permeable to vapors and non-permeable to water and microbes. The absorbent foamy material quickly absorbs the excess wound exudate but does not dry the wound completely. If the wound is already dried, the hydrogel contributes some amount of moisture, thereby enhancing the granulation and epithelialization process. The patch that contacts the trauma is smooth and soft, has a good protection action and is painlessly removed. It is also available with a fastening membrane.
