How it works

When the electrodes are placed on the skin, they deliver small electrical impulses to stimulate the nerves in the affected area. Pain relief occurs because the electrical impulses work by blocking pain signals from reaching the brain. Additionally, the electrical impulses stimulate the body to produce its natural painkillers - endorphins.

Pain therapy through "transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation" (TENS), provides safe and effective drug-free pain relief and is approved for use worldwide. Contradications:

Do not use the device if you have a pacemaker (or have a heart rhythm problem) or with any electronic medical aid. Using this device with electronic medical instruments may cause the device to malfunction. Stimulation near an implanted device can affect certain models.

DO NOT use the device during the first three months of pregnancy. It is unknown whether the device may affect fetal development.

DO NOT use the device on the abdomen in the later stages of pregnancy. Discontinue use immediately if you experience unexpected contractions.
