Non-invasive treatment for Stress Incontinence
The cup pessary with support is made from medical grade silicone for safer use. Skin friendly for avoiding skin irritations.
How does the pessary work?
The cup-shaped vaginal pessary supports and cradles the cervix to prevent prolapse. It stays securely in the vagina for maximum effectiveness. The additional support membrane enhances stability and reduces pressure or discomfort.
What can a ring pessary treat?
1-2-3 Grade Uterus prolapse
The uterus is supported by the ‘hammock-like’ combination of pelvic floor muscles, tissue and ligaments.
When these structures are too weak the uterus slips downwards from its natural anatomical position into the vaginal cavity.
Cystocele
A cystocele occurs when the bladder pushes into the vagina. Depending on the grade of prolapse this can be from a grade one where the bladder bulges into the vaginal wall to the most severe where the bulge appears through the entrance of the vagina.
Existing Stress incontinence
Stress incontinence is a form of urinary incontinence. It is due to insufficient strength of the closure of the bladder and can occur when pressure on the bladder is increased because of coughing, sneezing, laughing, exercise etc.
Proper Cleaning Instructions for Vaginal Pessaries
It is recommended that the pessary is removed and cleaned on a regular basis. Submerge the pessary in lukewarm water and soap for 20 minutes, maximum. Some pessary types may be used over a longer uninterrupted period. But, hat should be done in communication with your doctor.
