Brain Stem, isolated anatomy from midbrain to medulla oblongata

This 3D model offers a perspective of isolated brainstem anatomy, spanning from the midbrain to the medulla oblongata, complementing our series with the diencephalon/brainstem 3D model (BR 10).
At the anterior end, the model has been angled to provide a view that includes the mamillary bodies of the hypothalamus between the cerebral peduncles (toward the front) and the pineal gland/epithalamus (toward the rear). Moving posteriorly, the midbrain prominently features the corpora quadrigemina, comprising the collective superior and inferior colliculi, adjacent to the superior cerebellar peduncles. The cerebellum has been removed, revealing cross-sections of the middle and inferior cerebellar peduncles on each side. Below the sectioned peduncles, you can see the partially opened fourth ventricle and remnants of the posterior inferior cerebellar arteries.
On the ventral aspect of the 3D model, the pons is preserved, with a focus on the origin of the trigeminal nerve (CN V), notably on the left side. Descending further to the medulla oblongata, both the pyramids and olives are visible on both sides, particularly distinct on the right side.
