AQUACEL EXTRA Wound Dressings with Silver 10x10

AQUACEL Extra Ag+ is a hydrofiber, hydro-polymer, hydrocolloid dressing made of oxygenated cellulose in the form of woven gauze. The difference between the Aquacel Extra Ag+ dressing and the regular Aquacel dressing is the addition of silver ions, which provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial action. It is used for wounds that are either infected or at high risk of infection.

This dressing promotes angiogenesis and epithelialization, facilitates autolytic debridement, has indirect hemostatic properties, soothes inflammation from burns, and can be removed easily without damaging newly formed tissue. It is also the only dressing with vertical absorption of wound fluids, preventing maceration of the surrounding healthy skin.

• Pressure ulcers
• Chronic wounds
• Diabetic ulcers
• Pilonidal cysts
• 1st and 2nd-degree burns (donor sites)
• Bleeding wounds
• Surgical wounds (post-operative, donor sites, dermatological)
• Heavily exuding wounds
• Wounds in difficult anatomical areas, can be used as a primary dressing in combination with DuoDERM for wound coverage.

The Aquacel Extra dressing is more durable and absorbent than the standard Aquacel dressing, providing greater effectiveness.
